Share or Like a post

Unlike commercial Social Media apps, there is NO algorithm in the Fediverse to artificially build your Timeline. If a post has 623 likes it has no greater prominence on your timeline. You always see posts from who you follow, in date order.

What to use, and when:

• Boost: Share a post to your followers. The author of the original post will be notified and all your followers will see the post.
  
  
• Like: An acknowledgement to the post creator that you appreciate the content.
  
  
• Comment: Have a conversation; interact directly and leave a comment under the photo.
